The Largest Pediatric Emergency Room in the Las Vegas Area
Taking care of pediatric patients including everything from minor cuts and bruises to serious trauma cases
You probably dont plan for every emergency but we do. Designed just for kids and their families, our dedicated childrens Emergency Room is staffed by doctors and nurses specialized in both pediatric and emergency medicine. If additional care or consultation is needed, we have expert pediatric sub-specialists available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Pediatric Emergency Room at Sunrise Childrens Hospital provides state-of-the-art care to more than 30,000 children each year in an atmosphere designed to reduce fear and anxiety for both the child and his/her family.
Providing medical care to children, especially in an emergency, can be difficult. During these stressful times our physicians, nurses and other members of the healthcare team rely on their years of experience to provide the care and comfort that is needed. The Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day by physicians who are board certified in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. The nursing staff includes highly trained pediatric nurses who care for your child in a caring and compassionate manner. The nurses maintain certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum. Pediatric specialists are available for consultations at all times based on your childs medical condition. Child Life Specialists and Pediatric Social Workers are available to meet the psychosocial needs of our patients and their families.
As a Level II Trauma Center, we care for the emergent needs of both adult and pediatric patients. The pediatric Emergency Room provides care to children 17 years of age and younger.
